Tribute to Grandparents!

Aren't grandparents great?! In the first two weeks of Amaya's life, Becky and I have been grateful for the help of her grandparents. "Poppa Read" (1st photo) and "Grandmama Read" (2nd photo), who live here in Winnipeg, were able to be at the hospital for Amaya's birth - Mom Read in the Labour & Delivery room with us, and Dad patiently waiting in the lounge - all night! Later, having been able to get the vinyl flooring for our new laundry room cut before Amaya was born but not glued down, Dad Read helped me with this a few days after she was born (photo below). We've been making good use of our new laundry room! Overall, Dad and Mom Read have been a huge help around our home these past two weeks! "Grandma Wood", being as wise and pragmatic as she is, thought she'd do 'grandmother shift #2'. With Mom Read having taken several days off work immediately following Amaya's birth to help out, Mom Wood did the same this past week - coming to Winnipeg for three full days. When her 12:30am flight came in, she was surprised to turn around at the baggage check to see Amaya! - in her car seat - there to meet her (photo below). With Dad Wood not being able to come out to Winnipeg, we're grateful for him 'holding the fort' back east. Amaya is looking forward to meeting him next month!
