Way Behind on My Blogging!
I picked my niece Melissa up from the airport on July 2 and she told me I hadn't blogged since June 3! I was sure she was wrong, but I couldn't have been too sure, because I was the one who was wrong! And then Providence Arts Camp hit. So, it's now July 18! - the day before we leave for family vacation. So, I thought I'd better get caught up before we leave! I'm sure we'll have more photos and memories when we return home - more to blog.
On June 16 and 17 From The Top was booked to perform in Winnipeg as part of The Salvation Army's "Celebration One-Two-Five", celebrating 125 years of ministry in Canada. On Saturday morning we performed as part of a circus-like community outreach called 'Under the Big Top' at an inner city school's gym, and then on Sunday morning we performed down at The Forks. Below are Seth (Jessica's special friend), Becky, Ranran (holding Amaya), Katelyn and Jessica) enjoying a BBQ at our place after we rehearsed for June 16 and 17.
Performance ministry at The Forks on June 17 went very well. We performed the duet pantomime 'People Need the Lord' and the musical sign language piece 'Who Am I/Friend of God'. Below are photos of Becky and Amaya, and also Jessica, Ranran, Amaya and myself (The 'Canada' jacket that Amaya is wearing is one that Becky bought she was expecting (since I'm a huge, 'on my sleeve' patriot) and that she wrapped up as a way to tell me that we were going to have a family.)
