One of the reasons I started a blog was to jot down thoughts that go through my head -some of them once and others repeatedly. By no means will they all be profound, and perhaps none of them will be. Nonetheless, here they are (to be added to on an ongoing basis):
* "Inspired by a true story". "Based on a true story". It's not uncommon to see these words at the beginning of a movie these days. However, it is rare for the words "A true story" to appear. I prefer the latter since as a moviegoer I don't know which part of the former is fact and which is fiction. And, if I don't know which is which, what does it matter than any part of it is fact?
